USF Sarasota-Manatee partners with the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) to offer USFSM students a direct path to a medical degree after graduation.
Our Early Acceptance programs give graduates automatic acceptance to pursue a Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) or a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) at LECOM.
Both programs are offered near USFSM at the Lakewood Ranch LECOM campus, and the DO degree is also offered at the Lake Eerie, Pennsylvania campus where LECOM is based.
Students must be accepted to USFSM, and apply to LECOM. Five students per year are accepted to each LECOM program. Applicants to DMD program must pass the Dental Admission Test (DAT). Applicants to the DO program do not have to take the MCAT.
Contact an academic advisor for complete application details and deadlines.
For information about LECOM, visit the Early Acceptance Program Page.
The Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine is the nation’s largest medical college, offering industry-leading medical education with one of the lowest private medical college tuitions. LECOM provides patient-centered curriculums to give the next generation of medical professionals the patient experience they need to excel, as well as the latest teaching technology at both Lakewood Ranch and Pennsylvania campuses.
