STUDENTS

Join us for action packed, fast paced workshops all week long. Attend one session and receive a free ticket to attend “Don’t Spill the Milk: Etiquette Luncheon” and obtain a free professional headshot picture.

March 19, 2019 – Tuesday’s workshops begin at 4 p.m. and run every thirty minutes ending at 6 p.m. – B 226

  • 4 to 4:25 p.m.: “Personal Statements for Grad School,” presented by Courtney Hawk, Proprietor of Soaring Communications and USFSM Alumnus

— Write a Memorable Person

  • 4:30 to 4:55 p.m.: “Researching Employers,” presented by Diane Fulkerson

— Access appropriate library resources to answer interview questions:

What do you know about my company? Why do you want to work for me?

  • 5 p.m. to 5:25 p.m.: “Art of Networking,” presented by Bonnie Johnson, retired marketing executive and USFSM volunteer.

– Describe the concept of building a business network.

– Develop communication elements for networking engagements (in person and online).

– Identify elements of your “Brand Strategy”

  • 5:30 p.m. to 5:55 p.m.: “Getting LinkedIn,” presented by Ben Heins

– Develop a professional profile.

— Learn how to effectively use LinkedIn to build a personal brand.

March 20, 2019 – Wednesday’s workshops begin at 12 p.m. and run every thirty minutes ending at 2 p.m.  — A 205
