Dr. Lisa M. Penney received her Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of South Florida in Tampa and is currently an Associate Professor of Management at the University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee. Prior to joining the faculty at USFSM, she was an associate professor at the University of Houston. Dr. Penney’s research interests center around counterproductive work behavior (employee deviance), ethical behavior, and employee motivation and engagement. Her work has been published in top tier journals including the Journal of Applied Psychology, Leadership Quarterly, Human Resource Management Review, and the Journal of Organizational Behavior, and she has presented dozens of papers at national and international conferences. Over her career, she has worked on a number of projects to improve individual and organizational effectiveness for various public and private sector organizations, including SBC, the State of Florida, and the U.S. Army & Navy Recruiting Commands.
